David H. Perlmutter, M.D., is the Executive Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs and Dean of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Prior to this position, Dr. Perlmutter was Physician-in-Chief and Scientific Director at  the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh, and the Vira I. Heinz Professor and Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Learn more. 


Greig Woodring
retired President and CEO, Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated
Greig Woodring 
is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA). Prior to assuming the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of RGA in 1993, Greig served as Executive Vice President of General American Life Insurance Company (now GenAmerica Financial L.L.C.) in charge of all reinsurance business. After more than 20 years of his leadership, RGA grew to become one of the world’s leading life reinsurers, with offices in 26 countries and annual revenues of more than $10 billion. Greig is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science (M.S.) in mathematics from the University of Illinois, and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. He serves as a director of Sun Life Financial Inc. 


Robert M. Musen
Executive Vice President, RGA Reinsurance Company

As Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff of RGA Reinsurance Company, Robert Musen performs a multifaceted job that includes leading several of RGA’s corporate initiatives, both domestically and internationally.


Our Administrative Core 

Dr. Dominic Reeds, with the administrative support of Joan Heins and Rachel Hauck, provides overall supervision of the Longer Life Center (LLC).  Dr. Reeds also directs the Longer Life Foundation (LLF) Enrichment and Dissemination Program and works with Dr. Dan Zimmerman on education programs, position papers and opportunities for hosting international fellows.  Dr. David Alpers directs the Research Program, including chairing the Scientific Review Committee (SRC), presenting the SRC’s reports to the LLF Advisory Group and mentoring grantees who are young investigators.
