Prognostic Biomarkers of Severe Disease in COVID-19 Patients

Project Overview:

The aim of this project is to search for biomarkers that will identify COVID-19 patients who may be at high risk for progressing to severe disease. If successful, the results will improve morbidity, mortality, and utilization of healthcare resources by:

1. directing high-risk patients to closer medical monitoring;
2. identifying patients who benefit from early treatment; and
3. optimizing use of limited treatments.
